About

The canopy fractal is a binary branching tree that models natural tree growth. Each branch splits into two smaller branches at a fixed angle. When the angle is small, the tree appears tall and narrow; when large, it spreads wide. This pattern appears in real trees, river networks, and bronchial tubes.

The algorithm starts from a trunk at the bottom center. At each node it splits into two branches at symmetric angles. Each child branch is shorter than its parent by a scale factor of approximately 0.7. The process repeats recursively until the specified depth is reached.
